"I was redecorating my home and came up with a rock ’n’ roll theme, focusing on guitar influences and music that’s inspired me over the years. While searching for artists and prints I wanted to use, I came across Christian Chapman Art and discovered some really amazing prints of Eddie Van Halen, Zakk Wylde, Ozzy, and others. That got me thinking maybe I could have him do a portrait of my friend Mark Hitt.

After acquiring several of his prints, I commissioned an original artwork based on a photo I loved of Mark Hitt performing. Mark Hitt was a local legend here and influenced many guitar players, including Steve Stevens, Vito Bratta, and so many others throughout the Northeast.

When I received the artwork a few weeks ago, I was blown away. Christian didn’t just recreate the image — he added his own artistic touches that made it even more special. Some of the highlights are black-light responsive, and they look absolutely incredible. The artwork itself is breathtaking.

I truly appreciate all the effort Christian put into this piece and how accurate and powerful the portrait is. It’s a fitting tribute to an old friend who always had a special place in my home when he was alive, and who will continue to have a special place in my home in his absence.
